Šach mládeže – Lucia Ševčíková 3. miesto v Poľsku
V poľskom Ustroni sa v dňoch 12.-17. 7. 2014 konali mládežnícke medzinárodné šachové turnaje do 10 rokov a do 17 rokov. Z MKŠS Kysucké Nové Mesto sa turnaja do 10 rokov zúčastnila len 8- ročná Lucia Ševčíková a umiestnila sa na výbornom treťom mieste. 
Prehrala len s o dva roky staršími súpermi: Luka Budisavljevic – víťaz turnaja a majster Srbska do 10 rokov, Adamczyk Zuzanna – medailistka z majstrovstiev Poľska do 10 rokov.
