Športklub turistiky Kysucké Nové Mesto zorganizoval 5.2.2011 z poverenia RRKST Čadca - regionálny zimný zraz turistov spojený s 34.ročníkom lyžiarskeho prechodu Kys.vrchovinou.
Najstarším bežkárom, ktorému sa podarilo túto trasu absolvovať bol 64 ročný Albert Vlček z Radole a absolvoval ju medzi prvými. Najrýchlejšie sa podarilo celú trasu absolvovať za 4h 35min.-Petrovi Gajdošovi z K.N.Mesta aj napriek sťaženým podmienkam, čerstvý a ťažký sneh, ale v dobrej stope, ktorú pripravili sprievodcovia z ŠKT, ktorí piati vyrazili na trasu už pred siedmou hodinou, aby prekontrolovali trasu a urobili posledné úpravy a značenie fáborkami. Kratšiu 25km trasu absolvovalo 26 bežkárov hlavne z Třinca, ale iba preto, lebo sa chceli ešte včas dostať domov. Ostatní bežkári absolvovali 11km trasu traverz poza hrebeň Stien.
Štart i cieľ bol v pohostinstve u Kultána, kde nám zabezpečili priestory na prezentáciu ako aj občerstvenie po príchode do cieľa. Občerstvenie na 25km v rekreačnom stredisku Snow Sun H.Vadičov nám zabezpečila obec H.Vadičov prostredníctvom pána starostu Vladimíra Kačeríka a pána Pavlusíka, za čo si zaslúžia veľkú vďaku od organizátorov regionálneho zimného zrazu ako aj účastníkov, ktorí boli s občerstvením ale aj príjemným prostredím pri krbe veľmi spokojní. Účastníci tohto prejazdu dostali v cieli odznak, diplom, pohľadnice a propagačné materiály, ktoré poskytlo mesto K.N.Mesto a obec H.Vadičov.
V rámci regionálneho zimného zrazu sa uskutočnili aj výstupy na Ľadonhoru, Obelec a Malý Vreteň, ktorých sa zúčastnilo 74 peších turistov z Čadce, Oščadnice, K.Lieskovca, Krasna, Nesluše, ale hlavne z Kys.N.Mesta. Na jednotlivých trasách boli sprievodcovia s ktorými boli účastníci zrazu veľmi spokojní, hlavne tí, ktorí sa v tomto prostredí pohybovali po prvý krát z Liptova a Púchova a tešia sa na ďalšie akcie na Kysuciach, ako sú „Odomykanie" a „Zamykanie Kys.brány" a iné akcie z okresného kalendára turistických podujatí. Bola možnosť aj zjazdového lyžovania v RS Snow Sun H.Vadičov. Na záver zástupcovia RRKST - predseda František Žabka a Ján Rajtek ako šéf vysokohorských turistov regiónu Kysúc zhodnotili priebeh zimného zrazu a v rámci tohto ocenili najúspešnejších ako aj najvzdialenejších turistov tejto vydarenej akcie aj napriek počasiu, ktoré neumožnilo popozerať panorámy M.Fatry, Kys.Beskyd, Javorníkov ako aj Kys.vrchoviny. Odmenou bola krásne zasnežená krajina, stromy obťažkané snehom vytvárali umelecké scény ešte neodchádzajúcej zimy.
Záverom by som chcel poďakovať všetkým organizátorom tohto tradičného podujatia, ktoré predstavilo okolie H.Vadičova a hlavne Kys.vrchovinu v plnej svojej kráse. Pomohlo nám k tomu aj počasie, že v piatok nasnežilo toľko, aby sa dala absolvovať celá trasa a umožnilo vychutnávať všetko čaro prírody a taktiež "bežkárenia" ako aj nádhernej Kysuckej prírody, ktorú nám môžu mnohí závidieť.
