Víťazstvá bežcov Kysuckého Nového Mesta
Bežci nášho atletického klubu sa v závere roka zúčastnili viacerých bežeckých podujatí. Na Vianočnom behu v Žiline zvíťazil na 3 km M. Neslušan, druhý dobehol A. Kuba ml. A. Pochybová zvíťazila na 10 km, v maratóne dobehol P. Gajdoš na 2. mieste.
Vo Hôrkach pri Žiline sa 26. decembra uskutočnil 8. ročník Štefanskej Hôreckej šestky. Medzi žiačkami bola najrýchlejšia N. Štefundová pred A. Šidlovou. V juniorskej kategórii zvíťazil P. Žúbor pred J. Klučiarikom, tretí dobehol M. Čierňava. Medzi veteránmi nad 50 rokov obsadil A. Kuba st. tretie miesto. A. Pochybová zvíťazila v kategórii žien nad 35 r.
Na silvestrovskom behu na tartane (5000m) v Dubnici medzi mužmi bol najrýchlejší
J. Vitko, v roku 2010 najlepší bežec na Slovensku na 3000 m a na 5000 m. V kategórii muži nad 50 r. obsadil M. Slivka 2. miesto, A. Kuba st. dobehol tretí.
V Lietave na memoriáli A. Jánošku na 10 km zvíťazil v silnej konkurencii J. Vitko, najrýchlejšou ženou bola A. Pochybová. Medzi mužmi nad 40 rokov zvíťazil M. Neslušan. Naši bežci ovládli aj kratšie trate žiackej a dorasteneckej kategórie. Za víťaznou N. Štefundovou dobehli Z. Hagenová a A. Šidlová. Medzi žiakmi zvíťazil M. Kučera. Najrýchlejším dorastencom bol P. Žúbor, za ním dobehol M. Čierňava. V posledný deň v roku na tradičnom Silvestrovskom behu zdravia vo Vrútkach veterán A. Kuba st. obsadil 3. miesto.
Podujatia v Žiline, vo Hôrkach a vo Vrútkach sa započítavali do dlhodobej súťaže Bežecká liga Žiliny. V nej z našich bežcov vo svojich kategóriách v roku 2010 zvíťazili: M. Čierňava, A. Pochybová, A. Kuba st. M. Neslušan, vlaňajší víťaz, skončil celkovo druhý.
Uvedené výsledky len potvrdili úspešný rok bežcov AK MŠK Kysucké Nové Mesto, v ktorom získali 5 titulov majstrov Slovenska. Dvaja bežci reprezentovali Slovenskú republiku. J Vitko na majstrovstvách Európy družstiev, P. Žúbor na medzištátnom stretnutí s Českou republikou. P. Žúbor je aj držiteľom najlepších časov žiakov na 1500 m a na 3000 m. V hodnotení oddielov podľa výsledkov z majstrovstiev Slovenska skončil náš klub na výbornom 16. mieste z 91 na Slovensku registrovaných oddielov. Veríme, že i toto umiestnenie a dosiahnuté výsledky budú mať váhu pri rozhodovaní o dotáciách na budovanie športovej infraštruktúry v našom meste.
